Meeting Action Items

Paste your meeting notes and SPM extracts every commitment made: who owns it, what they agreed to do, and by when. No more action items that fall through the cracks after the call ends.

How it works

  1. 1
    Paste your meeting notes

Raw transcript, bullet points, or a typed summary. Include all participants and what was discussed, even informally agreed items.

  2. 2
    SPM extracts every commitment

The AI reads through the notes and identifies every explicit and implied commitment: who agreed to do what, what was blocked, and what decisions were deferred.

  3. 3
Get action items with owners and deadlines

Each action item lists the owner, the specific task, any deadline mentioned, and what it is blocked by. Organized into NOW (this week), NEXT, and LATER so your team knows what to tackle first.

What you get

Owner attribution

Every action item is assigned to the person who committed, not just who was mentioned. Informal agreements get captured too.

Blocker identification

Items that are waiting on someone or something else are flagged. You see what is blocked before the next meeting, not during it.

Implicit commitment detection

SPM catches "I will look into that" and "let's circle back on Friday" alongside explicit assignments. Nothing slips through.

Priority ordering

Action items are sorted by urgency and dependencies into NOW / NEXT / LATER lanes. The team knows what to start immediately.

FAQ

Is this free?
Yes. 2 free action item extractions, no sign-up required. Sign in with Google for unlimited access and 30 expert document reviews.
What types of meetings work best?
Any meeting with decisions and commitments: standups, planning sessions, design reviews, stakeholder syncs, retrospectives. The more specific the notes, the more precise the action items.
Will it catch verbal agreements that were not written down explicitly?
If the notes reflect the verbal agreement in any form ("John will handle it", "we agreed to push the deadline"), SPM will capture it. Pure audio meetings need a transcript first.
How is this different from a meeting summary?
A summary tells you what was discussed. Action items tell you who does what by when. SPM produces a list of commitments, not a recap of the conversation.
