How to Review Product Documents in Claude / Cursor

What is SPM?

Super Product Manager (SPM) reviews your product documents (PRDs, roadmaps, user stories, competitive analyses) against the standards senior PMs actually use. Every section gets scored 0-100 with specific evidence. Then it asks the clarification questions your stakeholders would ask, and generates paste-ready improvements grounded in your answers.

It works as an MCP connector, which means it plugs directly into Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI assistants. No separate app to switch to.

Setup: 3 steps, 2 minutes

Step 1: Get your connector URL

Go to spm-mcp.superproductmanager.ai, enter your email, and click "Get URL". This generates a personalized connector URL.

Step 2: Add to Claude

In claude.ai, click your profile icon, go to Settings, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector. Paste your URL and click Add. Set all tools to "Always allow".

Step 3: Start reviewing

Start a new conversation in Cowork mode. Type "get started" and you will see an interactive dashboard right in the chat. From there you can:

• Bring your own template: Paste your PRD template or describe your review criteria. SPM creates a personalized reviewer that uses your terminology and covers your sections.
• Use a built-in review: Pick from 30+ expert templates, including PRD Critique, User Stories, Competitive Analysis, and Product Roadmap.

What happens when you analyze a document

Once you pick a template and paste your document, SPM runs four stages:

1. Analyze: Scores every section against expert expectations. You get a scorecard showing which gaps are critical.
2. Clarify: Asks decision-forcing questions about your weakest gaps. Not "add more detail" but "Is operator churn or player registration drop-off your primary counter-metric?" Questions escalate when you give vague answers.
3. Evaluate: Re-scores after your answers. Tracks which gaps closed and which still need work.
4. Improve: Generates paste-ready content grounded in YOUR answers. No hallucination, no generic filler.

Average documents improve from 35% to 82% in three rounds.
